Stop by A.Okay tomorrow night and witness the opening reception for one hot traveling custom exhibit, The MUTT Show: Reloaded! We are hosting the show this weekend ONLY! So come out before it disappears into the sunset. Don’t forget to visit our shop and pick up your very own DIY MUTT. Be forewarned, this product is in very limited quantities.

Once again Stussy has complete a great collaborative project, this time with the late Dondi White, one of the most influential graffiti writers and painters of his times. Stussy created a series of t-shirts, with prints from his sketch books and will be releasing along with the tees a zine, showcasing sketches from 1983-1985. The product will be released on May 2nd.

We continue to preview some styles from the Reebok Fall 2009 Collection. The sneaker brand continues to work with Roland Berry and presents a pack of sneakers for next season. The pack consists of the Freestyle, Pump Omni Lite and the Pump Graphite Retro. All three sneakers come in black/white, which is rather subtle for the designer, but he makes it up with the wild pattern that he used for the sneakers.

His latest Dunkeys series embarks on a futuristic time era in which a modified game of basketball called preyBall is the name of the game. Played by a series of monkeys, gorillas and apes, the no-holds-barred game revolves around prize money for scoring players only with no teams involved. Much like the iconic Sy Sperling, the curators of Chicago’s A. Okay Official gallery practice what they preach. So here’s a post dedicated to A. Okay’s Lana Crooks and Max Bare, who’ve made it possible for you to see a litter of custom MUTTs this weekend. I love how Lana blends her signature plush squids with different plastic and vinyl platform toys. And Max’s “You Fuck with One of Us…” MUTT promises engaging viewing from all angles. The opening reception begins May 1st at 6PM and the show runs just through May 3rd, so get on it midwest toy fans.

Santa Monica BMW’s Checkmate

Brilliant move by a local BMW dealer in responding to a national Audi ad. Audi’s 2009 A4 ad on the left side of the street says “Your move, BMW.” Santa Monica BMW comes back with an M3 ad across the street that says “Checkmate.” Now that’s advertising.

What do you do if you’re Audi?
