Australian brand PAM once again impresses with a great lookbook for Spring/Summer 2010. “Garden of Earthly Delights” is a well rounded collection by the duo, featuring a solid line-up of shirts, pants, fleece pieces and more. Also they worked on sneakers and other accessories as part of the collection.

Reminiscent of the World Tour project that took place for the brand’s XXV year celebration, Stussy reveals the first group of XXX anniversary tees. Collaborations with Japan’s 40% Against Rights (by Tet), Mr. Cartoon’s Last Laugh, Hawaii’s Leilow and Berlin’s Firmament are seen alongside girls tees by Hellz Bellz and Hyde SK. Certainly brings back some nostalgia from the days where streetwear felt so much more exciting. These shirts will be on sale Saturday, February 20th at Stussy Japan accounts.
End takes stock in a clean new suede and mesh AM1 for Spring 2010. “Air Max 1 followers will know that, undoubtedly, the trainer looks at it mightiest in classic suede and mesh panelling. The numerous metamorphosis the trainer has been through lately has seen a demand for the return to understated simplicity. So here it is, the icon, in subtle colours, soft suede and mesh,looking better than ever.” Watch for these stateside shortly.
First seen last night on TNT’s NBA halftime report, this year’s Black History Month Air Force 1s will be seeing a retail release. Drawing inspiration from the rise of Black enterprise, economic empowerment and the Harlem Renaissance, the shoes are featured in black, red and green with the quote “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.” embossed over the upper.
Proceeds from the sale of these shoes will be donated to Cheyney University, the oldest Black institution in the United States. Scheduled for a February 18th release at top tier Nike doors.
Paper Labels is a design project uniting BaileyWorks (Portsmouth NH), Bodega (Boston MA) and Independent Fabrication (Somerville MA) – three local DIY crews leading respective fields. BaileyWorks hand-crafts durable and elegant courier bags; Bodega is an innovator in retail/design; and Independent Fabrication creates bespoke bicycles with the meticulous care of artisans.
The Paper Labels project takes form in three concept bikes, four courier bags and three t-shirts. The color scheme and iconography of Paper Labels was derived from Bodega’s archive of discontinued vintage spraypaint. Krylon Aqua Turquoise #2008, Krylon O.D. Khaki #2301, and Krylon Metallic Blue #1903 serve as the foundation for the bike’s color schemes. Selected in part for their cult following and timeless appeal, these colors serve as the basis of this design project.
Showcasing enduring craftsmanship, this project tells the story of a time when things were made locally and built to last – a time before bikes became fashion and products were built to break.
Baileyworks, Bodega and Independent Fabrication will unveil the project Friday, February 12th, 7pm at FourthWall Gallery (132 Brookline Ave. Boston MA). Items from this project can be purchased at www.bdgastore.com and www.ifbikes.com. Bikes are limited to 15 each and are individually numbered.
