Striped linings keep things moving forward while throwback DC blue and white accents and “griptape” tongue logos hold onto a bit of history. Look for these to receive the red carpet treament near the end of the year.

The special Nike Sportswear Store by Head Porter Plus opened its doors this morning in Tokyo. The interior was designed by architect Araki Nobuo and exemplifies a “football” theme with astroturf flooring and sporting inspired furniture and fixtures. Scheduled to remain open for 1 year, the store will host a number of special releases and events, especially around the World Cup.
Opening items include the previously mentioned NSW x Fragment Varsity, HTM2 Run Boot, and Fragment “TOKYO” soft goods collection.

California-based footwear brand Clae is re-teaming with Stussy LA to launch a second season of their successful season long Shop-in-Shop. To kick it off, on February 20th, Clae and Stussy LA will host a signing of the latest volume of streetwear tome All Gone. The opening celebration event takes place 6-9pm.

Another pair of shoes from the Ransom by adidas Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear Collection have landed. The Curb is their take on a classic deck shoe. It comes in two colorways – a black suede with aloe green accents or a two-tone black suede and blue leather combo.
