An interesting new version of the Pentax Optio NB1000 has been released, adding a custom Lego style look to the digital camera.

“Japanese imaging company Pentax’s Optio NB1000 Point and Shoot camera has a front panel which is covered in a Lego-like piece compatible with nanoblocks (a construction block system similar to lego) from Japan’s Diablock. Different sizes of these blocks can be attached to the face of the camera so that you can personalize it with patterns, mini sculptures. The blocks also have more than just an aesthetic appeal. they can be used to help capture your images – arrangement around the lens can form frames for your pictures.”

Rad Collector had a first look at this Bob Marley board back in February, but today Burton has officially announced their collaborative Marley & Co Whammy Bar Snowboard.

Key features of the new Whammy Bar Marley board include a simulated wood-grain topsheet layered with a series of classic photos from Bob Marley’s family archives. The images reflect his love for family, music and life. In addition, the base of the board features a powerful graphic showcasing the traditional Lion of Judah integrated with the colors of the Rasta flag and Burton branding.

Apple just announced their new iPod Nano. Most surprising might be that they did not only shrink the device into a small square, but they also added a touchscreen to it.

“Apple has just revealed its 6th generation iPod nano, which has been outfitted with just about the boldest redesign the portable media player has experienced yet. Gone is the clickwheel, to be replaced with a touchscreen interface and a shuffle-esque square form factor. It’s now 46 percent smaller and 42 percent lighter. Hard volume buttons on the side and a clip on the back provide the minimal hardware accouterments to that multitouch touchscreen, while the inside provides enough juice for 24 hours of audio playback. Seven total color options will be up for grabs, including a Product RED option, with prices set at $149 for 8GB of storage or $179 for 16GB and pre-orders being taken today.”
