Designer and architect Holger Schubert gives us a closer look at his Ferrari 512 BBi and his equally stunning office/garage that displays the car. The 1,200-square-foot space won him the Maserati and Architectural Digest's Design Driven contest for best garage a few years back. Particularly interesting is the inseparable relationship between the car and the space that was designed to house it, which includes a ramp built into the floor that tilts the car, allowing Schubert to back out across a bridge to his back gate. The car in turn, is perfectly colored to match Schubert's minimalist design ethos and somber palette choices for his space. Whether you admire the car, the structure or both, Schubert's car-office combo is a unique design combination of aesthetic and function, and certainly a work of art to be jealous of.

Solebox X Saucony Shadow 5000 “The Lucanid”

Earlier this year sneaker purveyors Solebox released an affable list of color edits to the Saucony Shadow 5000 via the Solebox x Saucony "Three Borthers Pack." Now the classic silhouette again finds itself in light of another coveted  iteration. Titled "The Lucanid," bonfire colors decorate the inner lining, while the upper sees a predominantly understated upper. Crafted with a mix of leather and synthetic mesh paneling, and punctuated with white accents and a 3M heel tab, the collaborative effort cater for personalities both reserved and confident.  The Lucanid pack will drop June 15 via Solebox.

Nike’s never been shy about LeBron James’ MVP achievements, creating plenty of sneakers and campaigns honoring King James’ multiple acquisitions of that title. The latest is a combo mural and sculpture that was installed for Miami Art Walk. The painting backdrop has a black and white style sort of reminiscent of the artwork shown on the “Freegums” Nike LeBron 9, suggesting that the artists of Miami are battling back against the vibrant colors so often associated with the spot. A suction cup lets you stick the converter to any flat glazed surface, putting photovoltaic panels on the outside and a customary energy outlet on the other. And if you are worried about what happens at night or in overcast conditions: the device itself can store energy for in-place or mobile use.

Kyuho Song & Boa Oh have added a few other functional quirks to the design: rotate your charger plug and you kill the power, spinning a circular cut-off switch built into the face plate. There is a second manual on/off switch on the bottom as well.

After the hype of the Huarache release earlier this year, it appears Nike is ready to ride the retro horse to the bank and back. Teasing what appears to be three colorways for an upcoming release, this is a fitting announcement amidst the rumored retro’s of Andre Agassi’s signature kicks. Expanding upon the OG white/yellow/black look, Nike appears to be adding a “Suns” and Carolina-ish white/blue colorway reminiscent of the decade that birthed these classic kicks.
