Arkitip Issue No. 0058 Release Event Recap

In commemoration of its 58th issue, Los Angeles art publication Arkitip are hosting a pop-up gallery in conjunction with paint purveyors The Comex Group whom will be supplying their product. Featured artists Aaron De La Cruz, Anthony Lister, and Skypager were given the selected theme of Color, in which they will showcase their works amongst multiple platforms including a documented print issue as well as said gallery installations at Project Space in Los Angeles. Admirers can purchase the deluxe issue at Arkitip’s online shop, and experience the showcase open now until September 1, 2011.

Arkitip x Comex Color Magazine Arkitip Issue No. 0058, COLOR
Using the theme of Color, Arkitip have selected a group of artists to create whatever they wish using Comex supplied paint, the culmination of which has been published in a hand numbered edition (of 1500) neatly packaged with a cobranded Comex + Arkitip paint brush.

Along with the printed issue, Arkitip have created a series of Chronicles documenting the artists involved, including Aaron De La Cruz, Anthony Lister and Skypager. The release will be celebrated with installations of the featured artists works at Project Space, Los Angeles.

Arkitip presents its first project with Pendleton Woolen Mills, featuring artist Michael Leon. The artist has designed the first in a series of artistically driven for Pendleton. The outcome is a Pendleton wool blanket, Made in the USA, in an edition of 125. Check out the video here below, narrated by Leon, featuring the final product.

Today we can give you an exclusive first look at the new Incase Curated by Arkitip collection by Korean-born artist Rostarr. Working with each of an iPhone 4 Snap Case, an iPad Convertible Book Cover and a MacBook Pro 15″ Case, Rostarr applied his signature “Graphysics” geometric graphic work for an attractive, functional piece of art in greyscale with orange highlights.
