After browsing the Kidrobot message boards as I often do… (I lurk. So what, sue me.) I came across these wonderful creations of the Watchmen characters! I’ve read the graphic novel and saw the film this weekend, so on a Watchmen high I found these Dunnys to be rather kick ass. Each one is superbly crafted by Alex aka bluebbel to those on the Kidrobot message board. Check ‘em out!
During the 1970s and ’80s, photographers Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant captured the environment and the imagination of a generation by documenting the burgeoning New York City graffiti movement. Now, 25 years and more than a half a million copies later, their bestselling book Subway Art is available in a large-scale, deluxe format heightening the visual impact of their classic images.
Artist Keith Loutit combined two techniques – tilt-shift and time-lapse photography – to create a “dreamy” impression of the monster trucks rally in Brisbane, Australia.

Tag Town is a new book of photos from photgrapher Martha Cooper who, back in the ’80s, shot NYC’s infant tagging graff scene back when there were just a handfull of people out there doing it. This was the absolute beginning of what you call street art today and Martha recorded it tirelessy. She would sit for hours waiting for one train to pass after getting a call from a writer letting her know it was coming. There would be only one shot for a photo since it was most likely to be buffed out the following day. Martha did this out of curiousness, pure interest and love. She thought this was a movement of the minute. She had no idea that her lens was capturing the very beginning of one the greatest art movements of our time.
