Blackberry 10 – Sneak Preview | Video

Blackberry 10 Sneak Preview | Video

With BlackBerry World 2012 fully underway in Orlando, we can now get a good glimpse of BlackBerry’s strongest response to the extreme growth of the iPhone and Android platforms, the BlackBerry 10. RIM CEO Thorston Heins took the stage yesterday to showcase the latest BlackBerry OS, including a Sneak Preview during the keynote speech that clearly demonstrates the change in direction BlackBerry’s platform is taking toward virtual keyboards; something that is pretty huge to BlackBerry owner’s faithful to the traditional design. Other big changes on the way with the BlackBerry10 include a newly designed account interface, an improved document viewer that moves with the flick of a finger, and an adaptive keyboard that learns the user’s type style to prevent common errors and allows you to add, edit, and delete with a swipe. BlackBerry also demonstrated new camera software that gives you the flexibility to capture photos along a continuum, which allows you to find the exact moment right before or after your snap the picture to get it just right (such as when your subject blinks). The BlackBerry 10 is scheduled for a fall launch and if it delivers a response anywhere close to that received from the demo, BlackBerry customers new and old will continue to carry the brand forward into the next battle of the mobile war. via: WIRED

BlackBerry 7 Smartphones

BlackBerry 7 Smartphones

With the BlackBerry 7 operating system, RIM will be releasing 5 new BlackBerry smartphones. All in all the release includes two new Bold smartphones and three new Torch smartphones.

The Bold 9900 and 9930 are the thinnest phones to ever come from RIM and next to the new operating system, also come in a new and improved look. The phone combines both a full keyboard and a touch screen display. The Torch 9800 and 9810 phones sport a large touchscreen display and a full slide-out keyboard. Furthermore the Torch 9850 and 9860 comes without slide-out keyboard and come with the largest BlackBerry display to date.

The new operating system is not only much faster, but comes with improvements on all ends, including a much better browsing experience. As much as we love the iPhone, we still miss the keyboard every once in a while and these new BlackBerry smartphones at least seem worth testing out.

Take a further look at the phones after the jump.

BlackBerry 8900 Curve for T-Mobile U.S Landing at on February 18th

BlackBerry 8900 Curve for T-Mobile U.S Landing at on February 18th (Rumor)

The word on the street is that T-Mobile USA will finally have the BlackBerry 8900 Curve in store on February 18th, and that would not be one minute too early (actually, we would prefer tomorrow AM…). whether you have missed it, the Blackberry 8900 packs a lot of the goodness from its sibling, the BlackBerry Bold, expect that it has a slower CPU and no 3G access. The good news is that it will be lighter.
