Created in collaboration with Red Bull‘s chief engineer Adrian Newey, the Red Bull X2014 is what a Formula One racecar would look like if today’s regulations ceased to exist. Three versions of the car are said appear in the soon-to-be-released Gran Turismo 6: the fan car (dubbed X2014/F), the standard car (X2014/S) and the junior car (X2014/J). The last Lamborghini Gallardo has left the production line in the historic factory buildings of Sant’Agata Bolognese. The final model is a Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante in Rosso Mars (red) and is destined for a private collector. With a total of 14,022 units, the Gallardo is by far the most-built Lamborghini and ranks among the most successful super sports cars. Almost half of all 30,000 Lamborghinis built, since the company was first founded in 1963, are Gallardos.
BMW unveils a limited edition version of the X6 M dubbed the Design Edition featuring sporty and visually striking elements both inside and out. Limited to 100 units, the upgraded interior of the BMW X6 M Design Edition comes with full Merino leather, including a bicolor instrument panel in Black/Mugello Red with Mugello Red contrast stitching. The interior trim, meanwhile, is done in a Piano Black with an edition-specific badge. 21-inch M Performance light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design set the car apart, while the exterior paintwork can be specified in Alpine White, Sapphire Black or Melbourne Red metallic.

Builders of some the most talked about Jeep Wrangler conversions today, Starwood Motors presents the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Full Metal Jacket. The Full Metal Jacket edition boasts the long-awaited Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine, advancing horsepower output from 202 to 285 — and torque by “roughly ten percent.” The limited edition Jeep is equipped with “the best suspension equipment, coil over shocks, axles, gears, fenders, bumpers, winch, and the list goes on.” The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Full Metal Jacket is available now at Starwood Motors for $106,888 USD.
German BMW tuner Alpina recently unveiled the 2014 BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe at the Tokyo Motor Show. The coupe is powered by a twin-turbocharged version of the 435i’s 3.0-liter straight-six engine, producing 410 ponies and 443 lb-ft of torque. Capable of a 0-62 mph sprint in just 4.2 seconds, the B4 is capable of reaching an eye-watering top speed of 189 mph. Additional details include quad exhaust, 20″ wheels, high-performance brakes, lavalina leather-lined interior and a 31 mpg rating*. The 2014 BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe will be available beginning May, 2014 starting at approximately $78,102 USD.

Unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan presents two new concept cars; the first is casual and lifestyle-focused, the IDx Freeflow; the second is the IDx Nismo, an “ultra-sporty model of the future.” The concepts were created to show how Nissan is using new and innovative product development methods to meet the needs of younger customers who have “novel, exciting ideas.” The prefix Nissan gave to the two new concepts, “IDx,” reflects a new relationship between Nissan and its customers. “ID” is the acronym taken from “identification”, relating to the things individuals relate to on a personal level in a car, and the “x,” which is the variable representing the new values and dreams born through communication between the brand and its customers.
For the 2013 Los Angeles International Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz presents the Concept GLA 45 AMG, its outlook on a compact, high-performance SUV. Featuring a distinctive design, the Concept GLA 45 AMG is powered by the brand’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces an output of 360 hp and maximum torque of 450 newton meters. Thanks to a combination of the AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission, the Concept GLA 45 AMG looks to impress with its sporty, yet also efficient performance.
Giving Mercedes-Benz a run for their money at this year’s Los Angeles Motor Show, Jaguar has unveiled the F-Type R Coupe featuring a 542-bhp supercharged 5.0-litre V8. Drivers, meanwhile, will be going from 0 – 60 mph in 4.0 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. Described as “probably the most extreme cold-formed aluminium body side in the automotive industry” an innovative single-piece aluminum pressing provides the car with torsional rigidity and, combined with the vehicle’s lightness, creates a stable ride and precise handling even at top speeds. The 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop is much more mature than its predecessor, featuring improvements in space, safety, fittings, materials and finish quality as well as sportiness and ride comfort. The new Mini Cooper has a 3-cylinder engine with a peak output of 134 bhp, while the 4-cylinder engine of the MINI Cooper S mobilizes 189 bhp. Another new feature is the standard 6-speed manual transmission, along with a 6-speed automatic transmission that is optionally available for all engine variants. Increased engine efficiency, extensive technology, optimized weight and enhanced aerodynamics help produce a reduction in fuel consumption. The new Mini Cooper sprints from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, with the Mini Cooper S model only taking 6.8 seconds.
New features include the Mini Head-Up Display which shows information relevant to the driver on an extendible monitor in the upper section of the dashboard between the windscreen and steering wheel. The head-up display promotes concentration on the road by displaying information directly in the driver’s line of sight. The information that can be shown includes speed, navigation directions in the form of arrow graphics and junction sketches, visual signals for collision warning, display symbols generated by Speed Limit Info, Check Control messages and entertainment program details such as radio channels and track titles.
Mini hasn’t released U.S.A. pricing, but European pricing has already been announced. The Mini Cooper will start at 17,900 euros, and the Cooper S will start at 23,800 euros.
