You may have seen some strange and unique accommodations on AirBNB, but few hosts can boast something as unusual as Faktum Hotels, an unreal room-free resort in Sweden.
Their offerings are entirely out in the open air, doubling as an awareness-raising campaign for the city’s homeless and and actual alternative sleeping space for those same citizens.
So if not rooms, then what are you actually booking? A sleeping bag, or simply a secluded space … everywhere an actual vagabond or vagrant might occupy, including park benches, public restrooms, abandoned buildings, bridge underpasses and below bleachers.
And how much to reserve one of these temporary hobo hostels? The rate for each of these 10 surreal pseudo-spaces is just 10 Euros per night … proceeds of which go to charity work supported by Faktum Magazine.

As we head towards the 1 year anniversary of the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, the people of Japan are still recovering from the effects of this catastrophe. As a continued effort to support their rebuilding efforts, we are offering this special edition of the Turtle Tetsujin figure by artist Peter Kato.
These crystal clear figures feature a solid red circle ( hinomaru: Japan flag/ rising sun) floating inside its body to represent Japan.
With the help of myplasticheart( toystore & gallery) & the NY Japanese American Lion’s Club Charities Inc, all proceeds from the sales of these figures will be donated to the people of Japan at the affected site who have suffered from the earthquake/tsunami disaster.
Purchase your Hinomaru Turtle Tetujin and show your support here.
After an arduous mission to launch the BNE Water Foundation, the organization ultimately procured its official NPO status and is now fully functional. BNE’s project is an admirable one that is currently engaged in fulfilling its promise to provide access to clean water and sanitation to over 100,000 people in an impoverished area of Indonesia. Their ultimate goal is to raise over $500,00 before March 1st in order to make this all happen.
Please take a look after the jump to see how you can help the BNE Water Foundation achieve its goal.
