Fred Perry x Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Fred Perry x Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Today we can give you a first preview of the upcoming Fred Perry and Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Both lookbook images and product images are included in the preview, giving you a detailed look at the 7th collection of the two brands.
“For their 7th collaboration the Fred Perry and Raf Simons Spring Summer ‘11 collection goes back to basics, re-working classic Fred Perry pieces by incorporating Simons’ signature minimalist silhouette and styling. The Fred/Raf hybrid polo shirt is the mainstay of the 38 piece collection. Featuring a traditional shirt stand collar and body darting that creates a slimmer, cleaner silhouette. The key styling detail is the use of Riri zips on select product. Manufactured in Switzerland, made to order and hand-polished the Riri brand has been supplying zips for 100’s of years and adds a ‘couture feel’ to classic Fred Perry fashion sportwear – zips replace the traditional button placket on the polo shirt and are found on side seams of longline, sleeveless pique tunics and slim-fit harrington jackets. Other key pieces include zip through sweaters, hoodless sleeveless sweaters, skinny fit trousers and shorts. The 30 leaf Fred Perry laurel originally used in the 1960’s continues to be used exclusively on Fred Perry and Raf Simons collaboration product.”
The collection has been released online today here. Check out the lookbook and product shots of the collection after the jump. (...) Read the rest of Fred Perry x Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

This one has made its way around to a few spots already, but we agree with Selectism: Slam says it best. “Embroidered skulls and owl faces, moving along a totem-pole meets day of the dead-esque aesthetic, along with Lanvin written in orange and blue with contrasting outlines we think these are the coolest yet. All great for both guys and girls these small little details will finish off any great suit blazer perfectly. Also available in cuff link styles too.”

As you might have noticed, the Japanese brand has become a favorite of ours and the new line is also looking very interesting. Next to their always impressive line-up of outerwear, the patterns on the knit pieces impresses us the most. We love the layering in the outfits and cannot wait to see the line live.

Trading Museum Comme des Garcons - Hard Extremes Exhibition and Stephen Jones Hats

Trading Museum by Comme des Garcons has launched two new exhibitions in their space. The store which is presented like a museum with its large glass vitrines, is showcasing as of today the Hard Extremes exhibition – “A collection of 32 original punk T shirts shares space with a “Crystal meets Fashion” display from world renowned French crystal company Baccarat. The purity of expression is common to both.”
