“Wall Writers” Graffiti In It’s Innoncence

From a time when graffiti was just kids scribbling their name on a wall for the sake of neighborhood fame, comes “Wall Writers“, a documentary by producer of Exit Through The Gift Shop, Roger Gastman. This underground film features unprecedented commentary from the ones that started it all including TAKI 183, CORNBREAD and many more. Narrated by John Waters, Wall Writers gives you a great insight to what graf was like before all the beefs, they hype and the urban culture commercialism. Cope2 x RETNA Bronx Collaboration

Cope2 x RETNA Bronx Collaboration

While in New York to recreate The Tony Goldman Graffiti Wall at Bowery & Houston as seen here, renowned Los Angeles artist, RETNA, links up with the big homie, Cope2, for a piece employing both artist’s unique sensibilities. Heading to Cope2′s home of the boogie down Bronx, the two graffiti legends paint a wall with complimenting colors adorned with RETNA’S distinct calligraphy script as well as the famed New Yorker’s signature bubble moniker. We all hope this collaboration is a indicative of what may be to come.

Parents Just Don’t Understand, But Tilt Does!

Do you remember seeing The Fresh Prince’s bedroom in the Parents Just Don’t Understand video? For those that don’t, it was a graffiti covered room from the ceiling to the floor to the bed. Well in a similar fashion, The Au Vieux Panier hotel in Marseilles, France now has a room of similar magnitude designed by Fatcap & Dunny designer Tilt.

Simply called “Panic Room“, Tilt has created a hotel room like no other! One side is a dull white, while the other is a bubble rich display of graffiti that even halfway adorns everything from the mirror to the fake plant. This makes you wonder if housekeeping has extra sets of sheets for this specific room.

All that’s missing is a collection of FatCaps displayed on the stark white walls. Phatten up your vinyl collection now with FatCap Series 3!

The Half Graffiti Hotel Room by Tilt

The Half Graffiti Hotel Room by Tilt

The Au Vieux Panier Hotel in Marseille, France, has worked with graffiti artist Tilt on the Half Graffiti Hotel Room. The outcome is certainly impressive, especially the sharp division of colorful and white that the artist went with. The hotel offers 6 artist rooms, and this new one by Tilt, is for sure the most impressive. In the end it is all about the details that make it stand out, because the concept could have gone wrong really easily in our mind. The consequence of the concept is the most impressive part of the project.
