Welcome Ladakh, the Latest Brand From Down Under

Australia has been sending the states plenty of outstanding stuff in recent years: sexy accents, calling BBQs the Bahbie, Vegemite (OK I actually have never tasted it), Summer Heights High… and perpetually fresh fashion. Ladakh is the latest to hop across the Pacific, treading into US territory and they join the ranks of some Karmaloop favorites like Mink Pink and style stalker. Founded in the early 90′s, Ladakh has been doing business in major Australian hubs like Sydney and Brisbane for as long as some of you have been alive, so we know this brand can ride the proverbial wave of style trends. Watch out for its Spring pieces as they trickle onto the site! Already we’ve got a couple unique sweaters including the Native Navaho Poncho, the Nine Til Noon Top, and the Rustech Sweater.

Better make room for a newbie in your closet or shoe bin or wherever your towering clunkers live, because Unif‘s HellBound is about to run shit. Like it’s pal the Hellraiser, this mega platform does not sacrifice comfort in the name of fierce fashion. Miss Christine has declared herself averse to foot-pain, so we know she is serious about the wear-ability of these boots! …the Studded High Top in White and Silver by Gasoline Glamour, a Karmaloop exclusive! This round of the Peep Show was a tricky one, but many of you guessed correctly. Our winner is Brittany King — can’t wait to see how she rocks these studded kicks!

Nike Terminator High Premium TZ – Rivals Pack -Ueno – Detailed Look

Shown here in detail is the Ueno sneaker from the Nike Terminator High Premium Tier ZeroRivals Pack. Their release is still pending, but still, the shoe features a really nice design, which consists of a predominantly black textured upper, as well as white piping, and a colorful heel tab. The Zoom Air insole features some nice detailing which includes a street map of the Ueno area. Look for them to release today, December 23, 2009, at Mita in Japan.

Pro-Keds “George Mikan” High Tops

George Mikan is not only known for being an outstanding basketball player, but also for wearing glasses on the court, which especially at the time was still a rarity. In 2009 Pro-Keds honors the player with two signature high top canvas sneakers. They come navy blue and in black and feature a special Pro-Keds logo on the heel, which features glasses in it.

The Pro-Keds “George Mikan” High Tops will be released later this year.

Just when you think the Dunk can’t get any funkier, this multicolored head turner pops up and reminds us how endless the possibilities really are. Boasting six different colors, not even counting the white and grey, this women’s Dunk High Premium edition will be sure to draw attention wherever they go. Rave pink, varsity red, bright yellow, aqua and grass green each command a different section of the the leather upper, but its the metallic orange heel panel that really makes this shoe stand out with a beautiful shimmer that falls somewhere between gold and copper. Granted, the outrageous appearance of this shoe is distracting, but don’t overlook the fact that this Dunk model features a Zoom sole and is built for maximum comfort. Anybody who has made their rounds in the blogging world have more likely then not come across multiple looks of the upcoming Nike Dunk High created in association with the upcoming sophomore motion-picture from LAIKA, Coraline. LAIKA is headed by none other then Phil Knight, Nike’s well-known chairman. In a project set-up by the next generation of creative talents, W+K12 (sponsored by creative agency Wieden + Kennedy), Nike’s iconic Dunk was re-produced in a DIY aesthetic relating to the animated movie Coraline. The shoe’s upper includes a number of interesting additions and props as well as special packaging. Directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and based on a story by Neil Gaiman, the movie’s premise involves a young girl who inadvertently stumbles into an alternate albeit it better universe with a number of twists. Given the track record of all the parties involved, this latest film should not disappoint. As mentioned, Coraline hits theaters February 6th with a chance to win 1 of a 1000 pairs following the credits.
