Hoarding a bevy of inspirations as always, the luxury streetwear purveyor curates a line that looks to pay homage to the historical styling of the music industry. Taking cues from the jazz and funk eras whilst mixing in timeless hip-hop inspired garbs, PHENOMENON’s wintery range includes large lapels, seasonably appropriate trousers, camouflage prints, down coats, toggle flight jackets, and a slew of fabrics. UNIQLO UNDERCOVER Summer 2012 Collection | Preview

Its never an easy responsibility to fill someone’s shoes, especially those of designer Jil Sander who propagated the notion of minimalist look in 1980s. UNIQLO, though, might have found the right complement to Sander’s +J creations in designer as he introduces the second iteration of his UNIQLO UNDERCOVER collection for Summer 2012. While not as minimalistic as +J‘s color block silhouettes, the new additions strike a balance between avant grade simplicity and everyday wear. Available for men, women, as well as kid’s designs, the Summer 2012 Collection will be available starting this Saturday, April 14th, at select UNIQLO retail locations in Japan with international locations to come soon. via: honeyee

honeyee unveils a Maison Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2012 Editorial featuring Citizens! — one of the French collective’s recently signed music bands. The characteristic Kitsuné aesthetic features outfits modeled by Citizens! band member Thom and showcases a range of summer-ready menswear options. A light, seasonally fitting color palette is applied to the collection with a mixture of color blocking and primary colors being used. Understated and clean, the spring/summer editorial from honeyee pairs well with both the Kitsuné identity as well as the personal style of the Citizens! members.

Bape Archives Book by NIGO

Together with honeyee.com, A Bathing Ape founder NIGO will be releasing the book ‘Bape Archives by Nigo’. Taking a very personal approach, the founder and long time creative director of the brand presents his personal selection of favorite items that have released from Bape in the last 20 years. This is the second book by the brand, after having released one with Rizzoli for their 15th anniversary.

“In 2008 Rizzoli (New York) published the official archive book “A BATHING APE®”. If that book, which shows all of the signature piece, is the “A Side”; this “BAPE®ARCHIVES by NIGO®”, whose contents have been selected by me from my perspective as both a maker and a collector, is the “B Side” – a personal, underground archive.”

The book will release April 1, 2012.
