Eclectic Method uses movie clips to re-create Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”

Using movie quote site Subzin and taking a little over a week to complete, Brooklyn-based collective Eclectic Method re-created a word-for-word version of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” track using nothing but movie clips. It seems that Jay-Z has given the clip his co-sign by featuring it on his Life & Times blog. Watch the clip and see how many movie titles you recognize.

Pharrell says he and Jay-Z are “working on something crazy”

Watch The Throne part 2, a secret project with Questlove, and now something crazy with Pharrell — and oh yeah, we forgot to mention that he's obviously busy enjoying being a father. So what else could Jay-Z possibly fit in for 2012? As aforementioned, Pharrell recently revealed to MTV that he and Jigga are "working on something crazy." He couldn't go any further into detail, but in short — we're pretty stoked. Stay tuned for more.

Lil Wayne disses The Throne in Pre-Grammy Freestyle

It seems as though Lil Wayne, one of the hottest rappers in the game, is now taking shots at his Best Rap Album Grammy competitors Jay-Z and Kanye West. Besides giving a moment of silence for Whitney Houston and announcing signing Christina Milian, Weezy offered freestyle at the YMCMB pre-Grammy party with clear shots the Throne.

"I met a bad red bone, I took the b*tch home/ I asked her what she want to watch, she said, 'Surely not the Throne,"

Since 2009, Tunechi and Mr. Carter have been going back and forth in a subtle battle of who is the better and wealthier rapper, throwing subliminal shots at each other. It will be interesting to witness the aftermath when the Grammy Award winner for Best Rap Album is announced.

Accounting for the the tune’s increasing buzz, Young Jeezy has recruited Drake to add his verse to the official remix to his star-studded “I Do” single.
