The Throne (Jay-Z & Kanye West) – Made in America | Teaser

The Throne (Jay-Z & Kanye West) – Made in America | Teaser

With Jay-Z and Kanye West gearing up for the European leg of the Watch the Throne Tour, they’re revealed a teaser trailer for “Made in America.” Forgoing using the backing instrumental for the original track in favor of “H.A.M.,” the brief black and white teaser utilizes concert footage as a whetting of the appetite of sorts. Perhaps the most interesting bit of speculation from the clip is that this is in fact a teaser for Jay-Z’s 12th studio album. Nothing like a little bit of mystery to get the weekend started.

Jay-Z Announces New Album Title?

Before we jump the gun and assume this 25-second teaser clip Jay-Z’s Life + Times released earlier today is a trailer for his and Kanye’s upcoming “Made In America” music video from their collaborative LP Watch The Throne like every other rap site is assuming, there might just be more to it.

Earlier this year, Young Guru spilled the beans about a new album that Jay-Z had began working on that had a concept and a title that was just so simple. In a day and age of viral clips and teaser trailers, we’re not surprised if Hov is subliminally hinting the official title to his 12th studio album. Made In America — sounds sweet.

Jay-Z Launches D’usse Cognac

Not that he has enough business ventures going on. Jay-Z helped introduce D’usse (pronounced “dew-say”) a cognac being produced by Bacardi that is marketed in direct competition with Hennessy New York at a private event last night. The brandy spirit finds itself in a rather moderate price category with $44.99 for a 750-ml bottle.

It is said that the unveiling of D’ ussé is a direct dig at the most popular Cognac producer – Hennessy. As of now the Cognac sector is dominated by Hennessy, Rémy Martin, Courvoisier and Martell, which have been producing Cognacs to flatter the taste buds across the globe. However, a little newness is required and Bacardi’s D’ussé seems to have nailed it right, especially when people were looking for a fresh and a unique blend to melt in their mouth.

HYPETRAK Premiere: Jay-Z vs. The Glitch Mob – 99 Days (Carlos Serrano Mix)

After two exceptional mashup pieces, blending the talenst of artists like Phoenix and Kavisnki, as well as Adele and Daft Punk, Carlos Serrano follows up with another more than compelling offering. This time around, the San Diego-based producer combines the lyrics of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" with The Glitch Mob's "Fortune Days," thus giving an electronica-infused approach for the Rick Rubin-produced original. HYPETRAK Premiere. Enjoy.

Gourmet The 22 L – Jay-Z ‘Brooklyn Nets’ Edition

Gourmet The 22 L Jay Z Brooklyn Nets Edition

The phrase ‘mixed reactions’ often euphemizes hate-filled feedback, but it’s literally reflective of the case of the new Brooklyn Nets logo.  Some have criticized what is now the NBA’s second black and white palette, suggesting it’s too simple or decrying the shield in place of the team’s namesake.  Others have noted the elegance of this ‘dressy’ color combo, its versatility and even the outside potential for some wild alternate looks.  Those folks will be more quickly drawn to this Gourmet 22 L that seems to be a 1 of 1 for Jay-Z himself, a pair whose Goyard-patterned heel tabs showing just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to unique textures that’d look great on a black/white base.  Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to some of Jay’s other ‘PEs’ and check back with us for more Brooklyn Nets sneakers as we approach the Barclays Center opening this fall.  via HB
