We already showed you the A Bathing Ape Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook, here is now a preview of the Mr. Bathing Ape collection for next season. Applying graphics and signature patterns from its mainline, Mr. Bathing Ape is the more mature extension of the Japanese brand.

For Spring/Summer 2013 they present new suits, blazers, knitwear, shirts, as well as a full line-up of ties, bow ties and shoes in collaboration with Regal.

Yes, it is that time of the year already, one has to start thinking about some proper knitwear. Today we present you the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection of new New York label Orley.

Inspired by 20th century art and the Canadian outdoors, Orley presents a nice selection of cardigans, crewneck sweaters, beanies and scarves. Colorful for the most part, sometimes even psychedelic in terms of design, we actually like the most the more heavy knit pieces that are less graphical.

The collection arrived today at Union Los Angeles.

SOPHNET Camouflage Knitwear Spring/Summer 2012

SOPHNET has always used a lot of camouflage in their collections. This week they will release the camouflage knitwear from their new Spring/Summer 2012 line. They produced a crewneck sweater and a cardigan. The cardigan features the camouflage all over the back, while the crewneck only features it on one sleeve. Each of the two comes in two colorways.

A release is scheduled for February 17th.

Stone Island Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary - Reflective Knit Preview

In 2012 Stone Island will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Having started in 1982 with just one fabric in six colors, the brand never stopped to innovate and is today doing better than every before. During Pitti Uomo Summer 2012, they will be hosting a show and a retrospective showcasing the brand’s vast archive and key areas. Furthermore they will be releasing a book for its 30th anniversary, featuring 300 iconic images. The book will release June/July 2012.

Of course there will also be special product for the occasion. One of three specials, we can already show you today – the Reflective Knit.

“Transferring technology from fabric to yarn, the ultimate in Stone Island research. Created using a Reflective yarn, built with micro plates covered with thousands of glass microspheres enclosed in a polyester net, printed using pressure/heat sublimation to melt the fibers and get an even surface with a jersey and high performance Windstopper® liner.”

You can be sure that we will report extensively about the other garments and events around the anniversary. A further look at the reflective knit follows after the jump.

Lifetime Collective’s New Video Gives Us Chills

Lifetime Collective put together an artfully done Fall/Winter 2011 video featuring not only their high quality gear but also a pretty frisky wolf that I keep feeling might morph into Taylor Lautner. The newly dropped collection features a wide range of jackets, tees, knitwear, and dresses as well as a collaboration with Vancouver based designer, Laura Tanner. Watch above.

If there is one thing that you can always count on with the Japanese brands, then it is their drive to only work with the best. For Fall/Winter 2011 Sophnet has gotten together with Canadian Sweater Company on a zip-up Cowichan sweater and matching vest. Both pieces have been hand knitted in Canada, only using natural fibres, and will be released this season in each two colorways.

Sibling Collection 6

Today we present the latest collection of London knitwear brand Sibling. Knitwear is one of those areas in fashion that hardly ever gets enough attention. What we love most about it, is the fact that simple details and quality improvements can make a huge difference. Also, unlike a lot of other product, knitwear seems to be more timeless. Sibling takes an interesting approach, mixing bold pieces with more classic ones, yet always going the extra step to set themselves apart from everybody else. Interesting patterns, bold embroideries, leather details and sometimes also crazy pieces, such as a knitted panda mask find their way into their collections, not forgetting the fun in design. It looks like they also worked with Pure Evil and Cassette Playa on some pieces for their Collection 6.
