‘Before ED-IT’ is the new range of handmade resin robots by Tesselate; which detail the life of the ED-IT DJ’s before they formed the group. First up is B5100 in the pre ‘Law of Awareness’ working colour.
The 2068 ‘Law of Awareness’ granted all non human creations the same right as humans themselves, and changed the way the working world existed. The B5100 series (pre 2068) were primarily employed to work on governmental architectural projects as an electrical maintenance engineers.
The work was sometimes dangerous and often involved working around Class Q Construction Platforms, which were never known to be very caring about their movements, and this shows in the outer modular ‘Toughskin®’ of this B5100.
Many B5100 bots were happy to keep any damage to their working kit as a sign of what a tough series they really are.
Now available at the Tesselate Shop, standing at 6″ tall and VERY limited with an edition size of one!

Favorite part of the holiday season? It used to be Santa Claus until some kid at school burst my bubble. I was on a mission to capture the dude for years. Now, I simply enjoy the time I get to spend with my family and loved ones.

“Wes Winship of Burlesque Design and I go way back,” Alex Pardee (Juxtapoz #79) told us. “Back in the late 90s, Wes ran LifeSucksDie, easily the pinnacle ‘fuck-your-culture’ magazine of the 90s, and I made crappy little homemade comics, and we bonded over heartbreak and hatred.”
“Since then, Burlesque Design has emerged and Wes once again helped create the pinnacle screen printing and design company along with an amazing team of printers and artists. The dudes are GOLD.
“I have wanted to collab with Burlesque for a long time, and we finally got a chance to work together when I launched the Night of the Treeple apparel line. We turned one of my favorite designs from the line into a limited, 7-color screenprinted poster! The posters were originally used as a promotional give-away at the release party, but since a majority of those probably got eaten and or/drinks spilled on them from the madness that was the party, we just released a slightly different version to purchase in case you missed the release party!”
You heard the good man. These sexy prints are limited to 300, but ZEROFRIENDS only has a handful (like 50) available for sale. Each print is hand signed and numbered by Alex Pardee. Grab your bit of screnprinted Treeple fun now at zerofriends.com
Sometimes you have to respect a company if only because they’re doing something different. Now iZ3D has teamed with computer painters Smooth Creations to release 22-inch widescreen monitors that offer some 3D LCD “business” in the front and a little 2D hot rod paint job “party” in the back.
