Recently Vans OTW held a massive event in Berlin during Bread & Butter and invited not only their latest advocates, including Lupe Fiasco, to town, but also Mos Def. They performed on stage in Berlin for hundreds of fans that had to fight to get a ticket for the exciting evening.

Swedish based singer Eric Turner premieres his first video, for his debut single Angels & Stars featuring Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempah. After making a guest appearance on Tinie’s Written in the Stars and Lupe’s Break the Chain, the singer and song writer brings their styles together in this graphically driven video. Eric Turner's debut album Disc-Overy is scheduled to be released mid 2012 on Capitol Records. Refer to the video above to see the visuals.

Lupe Fiasco speaks with Hypebeast on SNDCLSH side project

Aside from his hitting Occupy Wall Street, Climbing mountains and whipping Ferrari F40′s Lupe is now also a DJ and recently announced a side-project with long-time friend and DJ Sky Gellaty. The duo (SNDCLSH) who are currently working on their first EP of EDM titled “Don’t Drop The Flag”. Taking influences from Daft Punk, Kavinsky, Avicii, Nero + more this is definitely an exciting addition to the Lupe Fiasco saga. Read More at Hypebeast.

“I caught the bug right away. It was less about scratching the turntables with my elbows but I realized that I had a good ear for music selection. It got to the point that I joined forces with my partner Sky, who has been DJing for 15 years and having residencies at different places. He’s obviously more of a real DJ than I am. Vans OTW Launch in Berlin with Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey

On Wednesday night Vans launched its Spring 2012 OTW footwear line during Berlin Fashion Week as part of a 3-day pop-up House of Vans experience featuring live performances by the Patta Sound System, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and new OTW advocate Lupe Fiasco.

The free exhibition by the Vans OTW advocates included photography by Parisian Dimitri Coste, an art installation by Brooklyn-based Eric Elms and vinyl toy art and sculptures by Hong Kong resident and new OTW advocate Chris Kong.

Lupe Fiasco performed crowd favorites “Kick, Push” and “Superstar.” Live music played throughout the venue and Yasiin Bey brought the house down with an inspired performance of classic favorites and new material.

Eric Turner featuring Lupe Fiasco & Tinie Tempah – Angels & Stars

After lending some assistance on Lupe's Lasers track "Break the Chain," Eric Turner gets the favor returned by Lupe and gets an additional verse from Tinie Tempah as well on his latest tune entitled "Angels & Stars." Vans introduces the 2012 OTW advocates Lupe Fiasco and Chris Kong. The two join Eric Elms and Dimitri Coste as creative forces collaborating with OTW designers.

Lupe and Chris will join the OTW crew in Berlin next Wednesday for a special launch event during the Bread & Butter trade show. The experience kicks off January 18th with a live musical appearance by Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and The Patta Sound System at the Vans Department in the Mitte District of Berlin, located at Auguststrasse 5.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public through select Berlin retailers who carry the OTW line and the show will be webcast live at stickam.com/vans1966.

Vans strides into 2012 with its newest OTW collection captured in this “photo essay” video introducing Lupe Fiasco and Chris Kong as line Advocates joining Eric Elms and Dimitri Coste as creative forces collaborating with OTW designers. Lupe and Chris will join the OTW crew in Berlin next Wednesday for a special launch event at the Bread & Butter trade show as they are welcomed into the Vans family. Vans will transform the East Berlin venue “Department” into a 3-day House of Vans experience featuring advocate artwork installations throughout the building. Attendees will be able to discover the photography of Dimitri Coste, large vinyl pieces by Eric Elms, Chris Kong’s unique toys and sculptures and Lupe Fiasco’s collection of books and concert photographs. The experience kicks off January 18 with a live musical appearance by Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and The Patta Sound System.
