Lupe Fiasco and Sky Gellatly, collectively known as SNDCLSH, present their latest creation by linking up with DJ Kue to reinterpret The Pointer Sisters’ classic “Automatic.” The original version was released in 1983, which explains the heavy ’80s influences on this mix. Swedish based singer Eric Turner premieres his first video, for his debut single Angels & Stars featuring Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempah. After making a guest appearance on Tinie’s Written in the Stars and Lupe’s Break the Chain, the singer and song writer brings their styles together in this graphically driven video. Eric Turner's debut album Disc-Overy is scheduled to be released mid 2012 on Capitol Records. Refer to the video above to see the visuals.
Being named an advocate for OTW by the Vans family, Lupe Fiasco also had the honor to grace the stage at the official launch party during Berlin Fashion Week on January 18, 2012. We witnessed the Chicago native turning a great live performance and documented in our exclusive photo recap. Enjoy!

Aside from his hitting Occupy Wall Street, Climbing mountains and whipping Ferrari F40′s Lupe is now also a DJ and recently announced a side-project with long-time friend and DJ Sky Gellaty. The duo (SNDCLSH) who are currently working on their first EP of EDM titled “Don’t Drop The Flag”. On Wednesday night Vans launched its Spring 2012 OTW footwear line during Berlin Fashion Week as part of a 3-day pop-up House of Vans experience featuring live performances by the Patta Sound System, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and new OTW advocate Lupe Fiasco.
The free exhibition by the Vans OTW advocates included photography by Parisian Dimitri Coste, an art installation by Brooklyn-based Eric Elms and vinyl toy art and sculptures by Hong Kong resident and new OTW advocate Chris Kong.
Lupe Fiasco performed crowd favorites “Kick, Push” and “Superstar.” Live music played throughout the venue and Yasiin Bey brought the house down with an inspired performance of classic favorites and new material.

After lending some assistance on Lupe's Lasers track "Break the Chain," Eric Turner gets the favor returned by Lupe and gets an additional verse from Tinie Tempah as well on his latest tune entitled "Angels & Stars." Vans introduces the 2012 OTW advocates Lupe Fiasco and Chris Kong. The two join Eric Elms and Dimitri Coste as creative forces collaborating with OTW designers.
Lupe and Chris will join the OTW crew in Berlin next Wednesday for a special launch event during the Bread & Butter trade show. The experience kicks off January 18th with a live musical appearance by Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and The Patta Sound System at the Vans Department in the Mitte District of Berlin, located at Auguststrasse 5.
A limited number of tickets will be available to the public through select Berlin retailers who carry the OTW line and the show will be webcast live at stickam.com/vans1966.
