
When I first heard of Velvet Eyes, a new stick on eye-liner from Dior, my mind immediately conjured up images of those tacky leopard, butterfly wing and rainbow instant eyeshadow transfers. I know you know the ones I mean. Scary, right? I have to admit, I was skeptical. However, after seeing pictures of the patches on an eye-lid I may be whistling a different tune. I think they look pretty darn good! The launch of these eye decals is set to coincide with Fashion’s Night Out (tomorrow, September 8th). They will debut at the NYC Dior Boutique and afterwards will be sold exclusively at Sephora. I still have reservations about the concept of stick on eye make-up. After all, not everyone has the same bone structure, how could a generic eye template look good on everyone? Also it must be said, not even Dior can convince me to wear rhinestones on my eyelids. One things for certain though, I’ll definitely be taking some of the less…sparkly versions out for a test drive!
