Ever wonder what the president listens to on Air Force One to get amped up before a big rally? What kind of lyrical message would he and his team of strategists use to inspire momentum for their re-election campaign? President Obama has often coyly referenced enjoying certain musical genres during his tenure in office, but has never really offered anything so comprehensive, until now, with the release of his official campaign Spotify playlist. Granted, you won’t find any vintage 90′s era tracks by the Presidents of the United States of America, but you will find an eclectic mix featuring some very current indie bands like Arcade Fire, Florence and the Machine, Wilco, and Ray LaMontagne, a few country tracks from Sugarland and Darius Rucker, and even a few classics by James Taylor, REO Speedwagon and Bruce Springsteen. Noticeably absent from the well-curated playlist was Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N****s In Paris.” Click here to open the Spotify playlist, and groove along with the Commander-in-Chief himself.
