Nike recently setup its latest retail space in Japan, this time taking place in the historic fashion section of Harajuku. The store showcases yet another interesting retailer endeavor with multiple installations in place as well as an interior design by the famed Wonderwall film, known for its works alongside the likes of BBC/Ice Cream and Fred Perry. An official opening is set for tomorrow November 14th, 2009 with a special appearance from several high profile names, including Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka. Continue reading

ASSEMBLY LINE:

An assembly line is a manufacturing process in which interchangeable parts are added to a product in a sequential manner to create a finished product. It’s an arrangement of tools, and workers in which a product is assembled by having each perform a specific, successive operation on an incomplete unit as it passes by in a series of stages organized in a direct line. Creating art is the act that unites us, exhibiting art as a collaboration is the act that defines us. Our intention is not solely focused on the product , but we work on developing and strengthening each individual artist’s talents.

Uglycon 3 Opening at Giant Robot NY

The world’s ugliest plush phenomenon is coming to New York City. Uglycon, an exhibition of artwork by Uglydoll creators Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath, will be on display at Giant Robot NY. The show, which garnered much acclaim while in Tokyo, features a series of original paintings and drawings by both Kim and Horvath, and should be a treat for the many Uglydoll fans out there. An opening reception will be held at GRNY this Saturday, December 6th at noon. The exhibit runs through January 7th.
