Today we can present to you the new Fall/Winter 2013 Collection of New York brand Opening Ceremony. Inspired by Las Vegas, the City of Sin, translated onto the collection with “rich, highly-tactile fabrics and eye-catching graphic prints that have been imagined on functional, timeless styles. Saturated navy, cobalt, bright crimson, jungle green, and caramel comprise the color palette.”
“The Men’s collection introduces a new program dedicated to the King of Rock & Roll – an iconic Las Vegas fixture – Elvis Presley. With the support of Elvis Presley Enterprises, the capsule features a selection of archival photographs, song titles such as “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Love Me Tender,” lettering from the singer’s record sleeves, and crystal details in the style of Elvis’ legendary “Taking Care of Business” ring. These celebrated moments of the King are realized on an array of dress shirts, tee-shirts, sweatshirts, and denim jackets. As a nod to Elvis’ quintessential choice of shoe, several Opening Ceremony Men’s footwear styles are offered in blue suede.
Outerwear has a strong presence with a wide selection of peacoats, parkas, overcoats, moto-jackets, and zip-up pullovers. Custom prints and specialty patterns range from board-game intarsia, cow patterned furs, and photo-real roses that appear to melt on velvet.
Highlights include melton wool parkas with fox fur hoods and rabbit fur linings; the Opening Ceremony varsity jacket in navy/bordeaux and black/white colorways; classic dress shirts in stripe, dobby, patchwork, rose jacquard, and corduroy options; flocked rose printed sweatshirts and trousers; Italian chenille and gameboard jacquard cardigans and crewnecks; and “cow”-patterned sweaters with patchwork rabbit fur and merino wool paneling.”
The Opening Ceremony Fall/Winter 2013 Collection will hit retailers and OC flagship stores August 2013.
