OriginalFake x Peanuts – “JOE KAWS” Mugs

’ evolution from graffiti writer to full-fledged pop artist began with a key. Specifically, a skeleton key, presented by fellow graff artist Barry McGee, that opened the glass advertising boxes on New York City’s phone booths and bus stops. Soon, was defacing those ads with Xed out eyes and cartoon skulls, which eventually evolved into the creation of the Companion character. ’ brand of cartoon iconography has since collided with actual cartoon icons, resulting in the “Joe KAWS” vinyl figure. The character re-emerges on a special limited edition coffee mug, packaged in a set of two by OriginalFake. Get them now from Canada’s HAVEN.

In this latest collaboration between Original Fake and store Invincible a Kaws character returns that we have not seen in a long time – Bendy. Wrapping around the Invincible logo on the front of the tees, the back feature the signature Kaws ‘X’ eyes. The t-shirt comes in overall three colorways and releases on January 14th, 2012.

After the Joe Kaws Snoopy toy and the Halloween t-shirts, Peanuts teams up once again with artist Kaws and his brand Original Fake. Perfect as a Christmas gift, the two present the ‘Joe Kaws’ Mug. The mug features the same graphic as the t-shirt that was released along with the toy a while ago and will drop in time for the holidays, on December 17th, 2011.

The Halloween ID tee comes in black and white, and let’s you once again put your own personal message on the t-shirt with the Kaws style front. In true Halloween style, the letting comes this time in bright orange along with a character placed on the back of the tee.

On the front you can find a Supreme graphic by artist Kaws and on the bag they placed both brand logos under the neck. The tee comes in white and in black and is now available from the Supreme online store.

Original Fake Caps Fall/Winter 2011

After showing you the lookbook, some watch straps, Porter accessories and the t-shirts from the Original Fake Fall/Winter 2011 Collection, we will present today the new cap range.

The brand by Medicom and artist Kaws, keeps it simple this season, offering several different styles in black, beige and grey colorways. The graphic load on the cap range has gone down, which at most a mid size Kaws design being featured on the front.
