Apparatjik featuring Pharrell – Do It Myself

In 2008, Guy Berryman from Coldplay, Magne Furuholmen from Norwegian pop band A-ha, Jonas Bjerre of Danish alternative band Mew and renowned producer Martin Terefe came together and began making music. They decided to call their supergroup Apparatjik, which stands for "agent of apparatus." They released their debut album in 2010 to critical acclaim, and returned last year with an interesting release plan for their follow-up. Their second LP, Square Peg In A Round Hole, was initially released in November, but a second edition followed in December and the final version will be available on February 21. One of the songs on it is called "Do It Myself," and it features none other than acclaimed jack of all trades, Pharrell Williams. The electro-infused track tends toward the alternative sphere, and Williams' half-singing, half-rapping jumbles up the genres even more. Check it out below.

Pharrell & HMI Orchestra: “I Am Other” Theme

Between a plethora of creative projects and visits around the world, Pharrell manages to step back into his primary domain of music. Partnering with the University of Miami Frost School of Music and the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Williams works his musical magic over a “mixed-genre orchestral work—which features soft and ethereal atmospheres contrasted with fortissimo brass themes and driving rhythms—to explore a different side of his musical creativity, and to encourage his hip-hop fan base to expand their musical horizons.”
