For the launch of the Dutch national team’s new away kit, Nike has assembled a group of “New Masters” — inspirational Dutch figureheads from diverse fields who embody creativity and authenticity. They are Doutzen Kroes (film), Afrojack (music), Wesley Sneijder (football), Reverse (music), Nalden (digital), Natalie la Rose (song & dance) and Gregory van der Wiel (football). Nike commissioned world renowned photographer Anton Corbijn to capture these seven New Masters while sporting the Dutch team’s way shirt. The black-hued shirt features a rectangular orange panel on the right shoulder, plus “New Masters” inscribed in Dutch on the inside of the neck — a reference to famous Dutch artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer, as well as the players on the Dutch national team, plus the New Masters themselves.  Anton Corbijn’s portraits are on display at de Bijenkorf department store in Amsterdam, where Nike has installed a temporary pop-up store. There, the photo book Anton Corbijn x New Masters is available for purchase (limited to just 71 copies), as well as the Dutch national away shirt and accompanying lifestyle kit (made up of a Destroyer jacket, an N98 jacket and Air Max kicks).  Check out additional looks and introductory videos following the click.
