Vans Sk8-Hi ‘Suede Pack’

Vans Sk8 Hi Suede Pack

Vans just showed off a black suede and blue canvas ‘Two Tone’ pack for spring, and they could have just as easily applied that name to this latest trio of releases on their most famous hightop silhouette.  The Vans Sk8-Hi trio pictured above opts for the equally inert label ‘Suede Pack’ instead, even for one pair that looks like it was borrowed from the aforementioned set to equal out both packs’ numbers.  Brown/black and gold/black leave the overall feel of these more similar to an autumnal release than something slated for spring, but we expect them at retail before the end of March.  Have a look at all three below and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the latest Vans releases.  via FNG

Supra Society ‘Heartbreaker II’

Supra Society Heartbreaker II

That thing we said about Supra taking the direct approach to commemorating Valentine’s Day 2012?  You can double down on that, as this new release joining the V-Day Vaiders not only matches the Vaider’s obvious color scheme, but it’s also the second model to offer a ‘Heartbreaker’ theme.  Following up on 2010′s all-red Skytop comes this new Supra Society in a combination of waxed suede and Express TUF, along with key details like distinctive heel striping, a broken heart hangtag and a similar symbol on the insoles.  Supra isn’t shy about taking advantage of the themes that come around each year; are these the most exciting holiday-themed drop yet?  Only 413 pairs will be available at select retailers on Saturday, February 11th, so click through for the list of stores plus a few more photos.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski ‘Bonsai’ 4/20

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Bonsai 4/20

Nike SB has tended toward toned-down looks for a good while now, but one drop that’s sure to garner a ton of attention each year is the shoe set to release on and thematically represent a certain notorious day two-thirds of the way through April.  The past two years have given us Todd Bratrud’s ‘Skunk’ and ‘Cheech and Chong’ Dunk High SBs on 4/20, but this time around Swoosh skateboarding looks within to find inspiration from a classic silver box drop of the lowtop version.  The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski will release in a green-outlined, gum-soled white suede design reminiscent of August oh-four’s hemp-uppered ’Bonsai’ Dunk Low Pro SB, but will they excite rebellious skaters as much as the Bratrud designs?  Let us know what you think when you click through for more angles, and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via N-SB

Vans Classics ‘Two Tone’ Pack

Vans Classics Two Tone Pack

Before Supra started nicknaming every trio of themed sneaker designs they released last summer, there was another massively popular skate brand that utilized this technique.  In that way as well as the designs and colors being utilized, the Vans Classics ‘Two Tone’ Pack hearkens to the past, and there’s even the tiniest bit of Magic in these vaguely Orlando-like releases for this NBA All-Star month.  But once you strip away all the unnecessary connections, you’re back to black and blue atop a white waffle sole, a look that’s replicated across the Vans Half Cab, Era and 106 Vulc.  Click through to see all three and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via FNG

Vans Fall/Winter 2012 Footwear Preview

Vans Fall/Winter 2012 Footwear Preview

With a company whose tagline is ‘Off the Wall’, you come to expect the unexpected, so what will Vans have in store for its fans for the second half of this year?  The dominant theme appears to be all-over prints, as we see a variety of the original skate brand’s staple models cast in graphically intense new colorways.  The patterns range from a cracked earth-over-camo look that gives you one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?!” moments to a traditional Hawaiian floral look and a few of Vans’ favorite Native American styles sprinkled in for good measure.  You can see this variety of Vans Sk8-His, Eras, Slip-Ons and all your other favorites in additional images after the jump, and stick with Sneaker News for updates as they drop later in the year.  via HB

Converse Skateboarding – Spring 2012 Releases @ Premier

Converse Skateboarding Spring 2012 Releases @ Premier

A new month coming up means a new set of footwear releases from Converse Skateboarding, and perhaps in acknowledgement of the shortest month of the year, CONS is stripping away a bit of the extra detailing on one of their staples.  The CONS Sea Star LS Ox strips out the traditional deck shoe-style heel lace and instead keeps the docksider sprit in its silhouette, much the way the vast majority of Zoom Stefan Janoskis have flown off Nike SB store shelves.   Blue and white editions join new Trapasso Ox and CTS Ox lowtops in grey suedes, while a black CTS LS Ox shows off a slight variation on the immortal Chuck Taylor lowtop’s lines.  Click through to see all five pairs and pick up your selection(s) today from Premier.

Supra Passion

Supra Passion

Supra has attained the kind of success already in its short history that they’re already expanding into areas beyond their established skate and casual wheelhouse.  The upcoming Owen runner makes you wonder what kind of athlete the Crown brand would sign to be their endorsee when guys like Mike ‘Lizard King’ Plumb are counted among the label’s core skate group.  Lizard King’s been with Supra for a few years now, and his Bullet lowtop has done well enough that as the brand has grown, so has the reach of Plumb’s latest, the Supra Passion.  The Passion is a full-on midtop with a construction that curiously echoes Supra’s Henry boot, but with a vulcanized sole and a fairly ostentatious appearance in blue suede.  There’s also a simple black/white pair that just dropped, and you’ll find both of them available now straight from Supra.

Vans California Native American CA

Vans California Native American CA

Vans team up with Pendleton has already given the California brand a good range of sneakers that have a distinctly ‘native’ feel, but this time around they are doing it without the patterned looks. The upcoming Vans California Native American CA adopts the overall shape of the Vans Sk8-Hi, wiping the lines clean and starting fresh with a more minimal approach. With nubuck uppers in place and the always welcome vulc-sole, this Spring 2012 model manages to ride the line between classic and contemporary. Hit the jump to get a look at the first two colorways of the Vans California Native American CA, which should be on their way to your local Off the Wall spot in the coming months. via FNG

Nike SB Koston 1 – Tar – Redwood

Nike SB Koston 1 Tar Redwood

Included among the recently distributed February 2012 Nike SB footwear collection was an Eric Koston signature done in the simplest of all colorways.  That black/white getup is fairly similar to the Pimento-accented edition from last summer, just without the red, kinda like how the latest Nike SB Koston 1 sees its palette separated from one of February’s Dunk Low SBs by mere degrees.  Both the Tar and Redwood shades come off a bit earthier than the somewhat ‘Grit’-like Iron and Barn red used on that Dunk, so Swoosh skateboarding is covering all their bases when it comes to warmly organic lowtops as we wrap up the winter.  Check them out up close after the jump and grab yours at a Nike SB shop like Concepts.
