Stussy x Tower Records x Coleman Spring 2012 Collection

Last year’s triple-branded outdoor collection from Stussy Japan, Tower Records and Coleman arrived in time for the round of outdoor festivals that typically close out the summer months. This year’s edition drops at the front end of the season, comprising the fold-up portable “Fes” chair, water-resistant utility blanket and Coleman’s Micro-Quad LED mini lantern. The pieces are finished in a deep yellow hue, and are accompanied by tees and a fisherman hat adorned with the Stussy logo and Tower Records’ tagline “No Music No Life.” The kit lands at Stussy Japan stores on June 9th. via: Freshngood

AKEEM x Stussy 2012 “Use Hearing Protection” T-Shirt

In their continued collaboration as part of an ongoing capsule collection, Stussy and Hectic Skateboard’s AKEEM come together for the “Use Hearing Protection” T-Shirt. Presented with graphics in either white, orange or blue, the blurry effect creates the sense that the pulsating music is so intense that squinting is the only option. Utilizing skull imagery that has become synonymous with Stussy, the latest shirts are available at chapter stores and online.

Rounding out the collection, they partnered with Herschel Supply Company bringing the utilitarian look on the outside, infused with tropical bright lining known as “Wild Hawaii.”

Stussy x Akeem Use Hearing Protection T ShirtAkeem the Dream, Akeem for short, is a prominent Tokyo based designer who has been involved in the street culture for many years. Between juggling various design projects, and organizing events and parties, he heads his own apparel label, RESERVED NOTE. Stussy Japan has teamed up with the ever-creative designer on a run of Use Hearing Protection t-shirts. The choice of colors perhaps references Wu-Tang and University of North Carolina, as Akeem is an avid fan and participant of hip-hop culture. All of the colorways will be available from Stussy Japan online shop from this Saturday, May 19, 2012.

Stussy May 2012 | New ReleasesJust when we thought the spring is here, summer is already creeping around the corner, and Stussy are releasing new pieces from their Spring/Summer 2012 collection. To start with, there are two t-shirts featuring the classic graphics that we have grown to love. Three pair of shorts is also dropping, giving a good selection of items to match the t-shirts. Lastly, the Stussy headbands and wristbands should help to accessorize, and these come in tricolor tones. Check into your local Stussy dealers to find these items or jump on their online shop to pick them up.

Stussy x Herschel Supply Co. Duffle Bag Collection

The joint venture between Stussy and Herschel Supply Co. spans backpacks — which we previously reviewed — as well as two individual duffle bag styles. The Walton Duffle Bag, finished in a two-tone olive and black colorway, has two front zip bellow pockets and a full-length zip pocket on the alternate side. The large main compartment and dedicated side shoe chamber have a “Wild Hawaii”-print lining, and the full zip top closure is complemented with a grab handle and removable shoulder strap. The brand’s Journey Duffle in olive features a classic duffle design and similarly comes equipped with a shoe compartment lined with Wild Hawaii fabric. An exposed full-length zipper and adjustable shoulder strap finish the look. The bags are in stock now at end clothing.

London’s Champ Magazine has linked up with Stussy for an editorial, part of the publication’s latest issue. Shot by director and photographer Matthew Williams from Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio, the spread features Pigalle founder and Pain O choKolat co-founder Stephane Ashpool, owner and founder of Parisian club Le Pompon Charaf Tajer and British stylist Tom Guinness of French fashion magazine L’Officiel Hommes. Issue 5 of Champ Magazine will hit select newsstands and retailers in the weeks ahead.

  • Matthew Williams – art Director/photographer who has worked with Kanye West, A$AP Rocky and Lady Gaga/Haus of Gaga and currently works for Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio (London)
  • Charaf Tajer – founder and owner of club Le Pompon (Paris) and is also part of the Pain O choKolat crew
  • Tom Guinness – British stylist and Fashion Director of French fashion magazine, L’Officiel Hommes
