Inspired by New York City yet conceived in Tokyo, contemporary label J.SABATINO unveils a distinct fusion of styles for Spring/Summer 2014. This collection strikes a balance between the two urban aesthetics, accordingly being titled "Coney Island Dandies." To some, Brooklyn's southernmost tip represents a one-day getaway from the bustle of the city. This sense of 'urban vacationing' is expressed through floral printed linens, washed denim, and breton stripes, while the elongated silhouette of jackets and relaxed trousers reinforce this idea. Enjoy a look at J.SABATINO's Spring/Summer 2014 collection, available at fine retailers in the coming months.
Saluting Shaquille O'Neal's 19-year NBA career, Stockholm's Sneakersnstuff has crafted an apt "Tribute" edition of Shaq's iconic Shaqnosis from Reebok. Featuring a white leather base and matching midsole, the multicolored design includes nods to each of the six NBA teams for which the future Hall-of-Famer hit the hardwood - royal blue leather to represent the Orlando Magic, yellow suede for his years alongside Kobe in Los Angeles, smooth black leather for the Miami Heat, purple suede as a nod to his years as the "Big Shaqtus" in Phoenix, maroon leather signifying his attempt to "win a ring for the king" in Cleveland and, finally, bright green suede for his year as the "Big Shamrock" in Boston. Lastly, O'Neals four NBA titles are immortalized with golden details across the outsole. A fitting homage to the 7'1" center and the last of Sneakersnstuff's twelve Reebok collaborations - one for each month - for 2013, the Vectorless "Tribute" is due to be available both in-store and online come December 18.

Drawing inspiration for Issey Miyake’s “Pleats Please” Collection from nearly 20 years ago, Jasper Morrison launches the “Please” watch. The London-based industrial designer reimagines the Japanese designer’s unique fashion range with a shaded pattern that resembles Miyake’s pleated womenswear. Additional details include a band with a high-quality hairline finish, water resistant up to 50 meters, stainless steel casing, and a special packaging. The “Please” watch is available at select retailers around the globe in four differently colored polyurethane bands – black, grey, orange and green – as well as a grey or black stainless steel construction.
Following up on the collection release from last week, Stussy and Japanese contemporary label NEXUSVII have also unveiled a brief lookbook video for their "RAINY DAYZ" collaboration. As with the collection itself, the lookbook video is imbued with East Coast hip-hop nostalgia, ostensibly sampling a distinctly New York rap track for the background music. Showcasing the range of vests, button-up shirts, long-sleeved tees, and hats in a sparing, dark downtown city locale, the video does well to parallel the collection's mood. Remember to check online or at Stussy chapter stores worldwide for this limited release.
