This time they teamed up with California brand Mosley Tribes on a pair of sunglasses.The limited edition “Skeletal” Burke comes with an exclusive Head Porter sunglass case and is limited to 500 pairs worldwide. The sunglasses will release at Juice stores on April 27, 2012.

Designed in a black colorway with crystal laminate detailing throughout, CLOT adds some typical Asian street flare with an exposed metal eye wire and grey flash mirror tint lenses. Advancing this enticing joint effort one step further, each set of shades will be packaged in a limited edition Head Porter case accompanied by a custom cleaning cloth. The Oakley Frogskin model remains to be among the most successful in our market. While most parts of the Oakley sun collection are very modern and futuristic, the vintage looking frame still seems to be easier to pull off for most. Earlier this month we presented the Acid Tortoise Collection.

Today we can show you the iconic frames in more subtle styles. Several Matte Black versions will release, as well as a few crystal colorways and even the really classic polished black and white colorways are returning this season. SUPER will kick off the “SUPER moves to” project, traveling to selected stores in the world which will host the most complete selection of Super eyewear and exclusive limited edition products, at WOKstore Milan.

For the occasion, SUPER and WOKstore will present the result of their union, the Ndebele Special sunglasses. Taking its name from a truly inspirational tribe from Southern Africa. The Ndebele culture has inspired a whole new world that brings out the colors and culture of these people through the sunglasses, with the special print deriving from Ndebele murals: large and colorful geometric patterns that women paint on their houses.

In order to deeply enjoy these and other African atmospheres, a selection of videos chosen especially from the SUPER team will be screened during the opening event, providing a simple and home-made visual impact, full of perceptions, patches and sounds.

The shop will open on April 17th and run through July 30th.

As SUPER begins their “SUPER Moves To” series which finds the luxury eyewear brand putting their products on a worldwide tour, the first stop will be WOKstore in Milan who is known for its continuous research into experimental and independent realities in fashion and lifestyle. The culmination of this pairing comes in the form of the Ndebele Special Sunglasses. Taking its name from a truly inspirational tribe from Southern Africa, the special print derives from their murals that boast large and colorful geometric patterns that are utilized on houses. The Ndebele Special are limited to 120 pieces, characterized by a double-sided printing on metalized acetate, with custom engravings and aubergine Zeiss lenses. The handmade Italian eyewear will be made available on April 17 to coincide with the WOKstore event.

Greek designer Kostas Murkudis has commissioned the optical design talents of his fellow countrymen at MYKITA for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Rich, summery hues of blue, gold, and silver were selected for the two pieces in this collection: the ELEKTRA and PHINEAS. Each alloy frame features MYKITA’s signature hinge complications, and lightly tinted teardrop lenses. But more interesting, is how MYKITA engineers used laser-etching to finish each frame with a subtly textured Moiré pattern. The collection should already be available at select retailers. Check out the MYKITA stockist list to locate a concept store, or a retailer near you.
