Oliver Peoples recently announced a collaboration series with Japanese luggage specialist, Porter by Yoshida Kaban. Oliver Peoples and Porter will be releasing a limited-edition folding sunglass. The design of the Oliver Peoples for Porter frame celebrates the momentous 50th anniversary of the Japanese brand. The sunglass is offered with CR-39 lenses in custom colors selected from the finest Japanese and Italian materials: Black, Dark Amber, Dark Half, Amber and Crystal. All five color ways come with custom packaging, which includes the original Porter sleeve.
This limited edition design will be available at Oliver Peoples boutiques and select North American stores in April.

MYKITA are celebrating their 1oth anniversary this year. To celebrate this occasion the Lookbook for the 2013 Collection was planned and executed with a lot of care for detail and strong personal connection to the label and it’s roots. Shot in Berlin, the heritage of MYKITA, photographer Mark Borthwick realised the Lookbook as a kind of family photo-album featuring friends and colleagues to the label.

Waking up this monday morning the sun was shining and the sky was bright blue. My eyes, so used to the grey and dark days of the Berlin Winter, were overwhelmed. Squinting into the the rays of sunlight I opened the drawer of the dresser to whip out my shades. Surfer Kolohe Andino has received this great looking new pair of Oakley Garage Rock as part of his signature series with the classic American eyewear brand. Andino, who is also an avid photographer, also took the photo that is featured on the accompanying Microclear bag. The sepia color of the frame ties into Andino’s love of photography, and it comes with dark grey lenses that offer neutral light transmission to help you maintain color recognition.
For those unfamiliar, the Garage Rock is the latest lifestyle shade from Oakley. We know most people tend to focus on the always popular Frogskins style and their performance selection, but this is definitely one to look out for. Eyewear manufacturer 9FIVE has joined forces with Jordan on an upcoming collection of sunglasses and readers. The collection takes design cues from the innovative Jordan XX8 and features a handmade acetate black frame, with the choice of having black chrome or gloss silver metallic temples, and electric green temple tips.
In all, 1,000 pairs will be sold through select 9FIVE/Jordan retailers as well as online on Saturday, February 16th.
The Oregon-based wooden eyewear manufacturer Shwood has given us a first look at their Select line for 2013. The latest collection features the brand’s signature elements while experimenting with new shapes, woods, and construction. At the heart of the new design is an aircraft-grade birch wood core for added strength and flexibility. The “Belmont” officially makes its debut in the new line as does a new branding of Shwood’s axe logo on the temples.

SUPER has teamed up with French brand ÉTUDES on an exclusive version of the Panama silhouette. Previously called Hixsept, ÉTUDES has quickly established itself as one of the young French fashion brands to keep an eye on. As part of this collaboration, ÉTUDES has reworked the Panama sunglasses of the Italian brand in their own signature blue colorway. The crystal acetate frame comes in a tone on tone deep cobald blue colorway and of course as usual with Carl Zeiss lenses. A nice premium Italian leather case in the same blue tone also comes with each pair.
