Time For Toys At Sixxa Store

The Vienna vinyl hustlers at Sixxa Store recently launched Kidrobot for Swatch in there hip little shop with a collaborative collection of Dunnys and Swatches on exhibit. Time For Toys combines over 40 Gents and various sizes of Dunnys with common characteristics including color, style and theme. This creative and colorful juxtapozition will be on view for the next couple weeks but if your in the area we recommend to go check it out tomorrow during the Joe Ledbetter signing.

Jeremy Scott x Swatch Fall/Winter 2011 Watch Collection

After a successful first line, Jeremy Scott continues to work with Swiss watch maker Swatch and presents his new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The new line includes 4 watches – several wrist watches with safari and other colorful designs, as well as a heart shaped pocket watch. As with all Scott designs, the watch designs are colorful and loud. Yet we have to admit, that some of these are pretty nice. Our favorites include the X-Ray Vision and the leopard pattern watches. We especially like that Swatch allows Scott complete creative freedom and that the watches go beyond simply adding some color to existing models. Look out for a release in the near future.

Hypebeast Interview – Kidrobot For Swatch In Shanghai

Kidrobot for Swatch has been ramping up the excitement over the last couple weeks with launch parties in Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London and Liverpool. The fine folks at Hypebeast recently caught up with us at the the Shanghai opening and peeked inside the minds of artists Frank Kozik and MAD.

Kidrobot x Swatch in Shanghai

Earlier this month, Kidrobot and Swatch launched an extensive creative project unifying their respective icons on an artist-based collection of toys and watches. Eight artists were brought together to each creatively mastermind their own packs involving a 3-inch Kidrobot Dunny and a Swatch watch. Included were Gary Baseman, Jeremyville, Frank Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, MAD, Tara McPherson, SSUR, and Tilt. We were on hand in Shanghai to witness the official unveiling which included artist appearances from Frank Kozik and MAD as they speak about their involvement in the project and process.

The collection is limited to 300 numbered sets per artist and hits stores globally as of September 1, 2011. Look for availability via select Kidrobot and Swatch retailers.

Kidrobot For Swatch Opens In Liverpool With MAD

The worldwide launch of Kidrobot for Swatch opened last week in Liverpool with more live painting MADness. Bent World mastermind, MAD hit up another custom 20-inch Dunny with a blue and white rendition of his Shout Out design as well as an original 3 x 4-foot canvas.

The creative and collectible Dunny & Swatch combos are already available in stores and will release online this Thursday, September 1 on kidrobot.com, kidrobot.eu and swatch.com. The next Kidrobot for Swatch launch party will go down in Amsterdam on September 5 with Tilt and will continue around the globe through September 20. Get the full schedule of events here.

Kidrobot For Swatch Opens In London With MAD

Kidrobot for Swatch opened last night in London with another epic pre-release event at Swatch’s London store. The swanky live art party featured more mega-sized customizing by MAD on a 2-meter tall Swatch and a 20-inch Dunny. You can see more pics of the work in progress on MAD’s Facebook.

Kidrobot for Swatch has just released in all Kidrobot and Swatch locations today. Head down to your local Kidrobot store and get your Dunny and Watch combo now! This monumental collaboration will also be available worldwide on kidrobot.com, kidrobot.eu and swatch.com next Thursday, September 1.

Kidrobot For Swatch Opens In Hong Kong With MAD

MAD’s whirlwind tour celebrating the epic collaboration of Kidrobot for Swatch rolled through Hong Kong the other night. After his recent appearance in Shanghai and Tokyo, MAD busted out his brushes and once again recreated his now iconic Shout Out Swatch design on a 20-inch Dunny and a larger than life Maxi Swatch.

Keep in mind, Kidrobot for Swatch will break ground worldwide at all Kidrobot and Swatch locations starting tomorrow, Thursday, August 25. The online release for kidrobot.com, kidrobot.eu and swatch.com will take place next week on September 1.

Following the red carpet launch party in Shanghai, Kidrobot for Swatch has recently opened in Tokyo with side-by-side live art by MAD and Frank Kozik. All eyes and cameras were on the 2 artists as Kozik customized a black and white 20-inch Dissected Dunny and MAD recreated a mega-sized version of his Shout Out Swatch design.

Don’t forget this epic collab will release in Kidrobot and Swatch stores this Thursday, August 25 and online September 1. There are a lot more Kidrobot for Swatch launch parties going down around the globe. Get the full schedule of events here.
