Teyana Taylor and Her Bad Boys

Teyana Taylor is making herself known in the world of hip-hop. The Harlem native is rapping about her love for the bad boys in her latest track, aptly titled “Bad Boys,” featuring Honey Cocaine and B. Mack and produced by DJ Mustard, who is responsible for Tyga’s “Rack City.”

After years of being plagued by label politics the young singer, rapper, and actress is putting out her dope grooves as a free agent, hoping to satisfy her fans. In the meantime, she has also appeared on Kanye West’s album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and toured with Game.

So far this year, she dropped her new soulful single “Make Your Move” featuring Wale. Live instrumentation and Michael Jackson sampling give the R&B track an edge. Her second single, “DUI” drops today,Valentine’s Day. It’s all ahead of her upcoming free EP, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor (available online February 29).

Cheap Monday is starting to trickle in, and per usual, the Swedish brand is offering up some outstandingly comfortable gear for this spring. What we like most about the Spring-Summer 2012 collection is the trendy details (isn’t it always in the details?): bold colorblocked stripes, unusual necklines, and quirky silhouettes. Consistently presenting a high-fashion runway show each season, the brand’s new pieces were presented with nostalgic and romantic sensibilities hinting at the naivety of our parents’ youth. Inspired by all of the lovely handbags that landed on Karmaloop this week, Erykah Badu’s Bag Lady was more than appropriate for today’s Throwback Thursday.

I’m currently under the influence of a major handbag love affair. Some of the bags that I’m currently creeping on are The Haan Bag in Red Floral by Jeffrey Campbell , The Selma Bag by Nila Anthony , and The Mata Hari x Love-Made Fanny Bag in Black Speckled Tweed.

I figure, if you’re gonna come with baggage you better make sure it’s on point.
