Teyana Taylor is making herself known in the world of hip-hop. The Harlem native is rapping about her love for the bad boys in her latest track, aptly titled “Bad Boys,” featuring Honey Cocaine and B. Mack and produced by DJ Mustard, who is responsible for Tyga’s “Rack City.”

After years of being plagued by label politics the young singer, rapper, and actress is putting out her dope grooves as a free agent, hoping to satisfy her fans. In the meantime, she has also appeared on Kanye West’s album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and toured with Game.

So far this year, she dropped her new soulful single “Make Your Move” featuring Wale. Live instrumentation and Michael Jackson sampling give the R&B track an edge. Her second single, “DUI” drops today,Valentine’s Day. It’s all ahead of her upcoming free EP, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor (available online February 29).

KarmaloopTV recently sat down with Miss Taylor to talk about her new record with Wale, her record label situation, and haters on Twitter. Check the clip above.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Levi’s Engineered Jeans, the brand tapped Neighbour Creative to create the “Twisted Originals” campaign.  Headlined by three original characters created by UK sculptor/artist Wilfrid Wood the campaign brings a fun and edgy identity to the clothing.   Sculpted and hand-painted by Wilfrid – Hopper, Fingers and Bernie (l to r: above) represent raw individuality.  Each wears a different fit of Levi Engineered Jeans apparel.

The three characters will serve as the visual identity for the campaign which will play out in retail shops  as well as on the ‘net at the thetwistedoriginals.com blog.  The blog will feature commissioned and curated art with a ‘twisted’ aesthetic.

Beyond the original sculptures, Wilfrid’s characters are being produced in Hong Kong for use in point of sale displays for Levi’s retailers.  There’s also talk of making the figures available as limited-edition collectibles later in the year.

A very cool project featuring a very talented artist in Wilfrid Wood.  While all three characters have undeniable presence and personality, Fingers is too cool for school. Be sure to hit the massive photo gallery after the jump featuring plenty of process pics – sketches, maquettes,  digital scans, as well as shots of the production overseas.

Additionally, be sure to hit up the Twisted Originals subsite over at the European section of  Levi’s.com for more in-depth info on Wilfrid’s characters including a video interview about his character creation process as well as plenty of downloadable goodies.
