Air Jordan AJKO – OG Black/Red Pair on eBay

Air Jordan AJKO OG Black/Red Pair on eBay

The Air Jordan AJKO goes deep in to the Air Jordan catalog – perhaps a bit too deep for the younger generation to truly appreciate the shoe. But despite a twenty-five year absence, the 2010 Retro releases did rather well and was considered by the Sneaker News staff to be one of the best releases of that year. In just a few short weeks, Jordan Brand will hit us with some more AJKOs – one of which is the return of the OG Black/Red colorway; of course, this OG pair we spotted has been put through the test of time and wear, but it’s still neat to see a shoe nearly three decades old still standing tall! Check out the images of this OG gem below and join in on the bidding by visiting the auction from tomctex on eBay.

Reebok Shaq Attaq – Game-Worn Autographed Pair on eBay

Reebok Shaq Attaq Game Worn Autographed Pair on eBay

In celebration of the news that surfaced earlier today, let’s take a look back at one of Shaq’s earliest signature sneakers with Reebok – the Reebok Shaq Attaq. The Shaq Attaq was actually O’neal’s first signature shoe with Reebok, featuring a sleek futuristic design (a welcome deviation from the chunkier, more tank-like builds of other big-men sig models) with Reebok’s Insta-Pump technology infused into the chassis and exposed carbon-fiber in the footbed visible through the outsole.. This gargantuan pair is a size 20, worn and autographed for the Orlando Magic behemoth during his rookie campaign, and with the news of a 2013 return of the Shaq Attaq, the spotlight is back on one of the most memorable signature lines of the 1990′s. Check out the gallery below to refresh your memory on this classic, and head to the full listing (note: just the right shoe, not the whole pair) from ptblazer12 on eBay.

EA Sports x Nike Alpha Force II

EA Sports x Nike Alpha Force II

The online market known as eBay continues to be one of the best resources of finding rare gems like toys from childhood or even the most random objects, but it’s an absolute gold-mine for sneakers. Nikes continue to be one of the most listed items on eBay, and we just stumbled on a piece of history – the EA Sports x Nike Alpha Force II. The Alpha Force II is obviously a forgotten model that probably won’t see a return soon, but this particular pair, dated in 2004, is the first EA Sports x Nike collaboration – ever. Of course ‘EA Sports’ has been somewhat of a recognizable term in the sneaker game with special colorways for kicks like Trainer 1.3 and Nike Zoom KD III, but the Alpha Force precedes all of those (and comes in a dope Safari/Black colorway to boot). These were a Friends-and-Family edition that was never released, and even the seller states they were given to him by pals who are/were employed by EA, so check out the images below and visit the listing from thecollectorsfind on eBay.

Nike Blazer Low VNTG – Summer 2012

Nike Blazer Low VNTG Summer 2012

The lowtop silhouette has been used by Nike Sportswear far less than the High when it comes to Vintage Blazer releases; might this new trio signal a shift in silo distribution?  These new Nike Blazer Low VNTG releases are like the original NSW Vintage drops in that they utilize a single suede color opposite Sail everything else plus a bit of pre-yellowing on the soles to match the unfinished nylon tongue’s slightly rugged old school feel.  Pairs in grey, black and red are all simple enough to anchor your wardrobe this spring, and you’ll find them available now at select retailers like SNKRS.

Air Jordan IX – Penny Hardaway Autographed Game-Worn PE

Air Jordan IX Penny Hardaway Autographed Game Worn PE

Same story, different shoes? On Monday, Sneaker News showed you the upcoming October 2012 release of the Nike Air Flight One in Black/White and the interesting back-story and gave the an unintended infamy in the history of Michael Jordan. Before Michael borrowed Penny’s shoes, it appears that Penny dipped in MJ’s stash as we get a rare look at this Air Jordan IX Player Exclusive made for the Penny Hardaway during his rookie campaign. It features the Black/Charcoal upper like the OG, but with a Royal Blue interior and Jordan branding and Penny’s ’1′ logo stitched onto the heel. These are certainly one of the rarest and most interesting PEs to ever hit the planet, and the fact that they’re game-worn and signed by Penny himself just make ‘em that much greater, and although these do resemble the upcoming ‘Photo Blue’ Retro, it’s a stretch to say that Penny Hardaway had any connection with ‘em. These are up for sale now at IMAGE NY, a sneaker consignment shop located in Queens, NY that opened one year ago, so check out these detailed shots and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Vortex VNTG ‘Summer Pack’

Nike Air Vortex VNTG Summer Pack

A few days back, Sneaker News showed you three new Nike Air Vortex VNTG colorways that’d just arrived at a Nike Sportswear dealer in Europe.  Elsewhere in the Old Country, two others have also arrived to bring the total to five, and that means the range of colorways is sure to have something for everyone.  Each of these are constructed as they should be, from suede, mesh and nylon just as the originals did some three decades ago, and mild pre-yellowing on the midsoles reflects the aging process.  Between these, the Size? exclusives and that Fresh Mint/Voltage Cherry pair, the Euro zone is killing it with Vintage Air Vortexes; is one of this new quartet available now from Asphalt Gold the best yet?
