Devilrobots Tofu-Oyako Watch

I wanted to call everyone’s attention to the Devilrobots watches we now have in stock because in my humble opinion, they’re pretty great. The watch line is called “Don’t Be Late To-Fu” and is full of personality. There are several to choose from including a rockin’ mohawk To-Fu (pink) and a skull “Poison To-Fu” (black) but my favorite is the classic white watch with To-Fu face. Each one is a slap-style band and the face is removable; you can even conveniently fit an iPod nano in its place. As a welcome added bonus, each comes with a To-Fu figure/keychain.

If you follow Devilrobots on Facebook, you might have seen the competition they were holding, “My To-Fu Oyako snapshot game” where fans were asked to send in images of their To-Fu friends. Here are some cute shots:

[Video] LEP Bogus Boys: “Now or Neva”

L.E.P. Bogus Boys

As you are all well aware, LEP Bogus Boys are consistently taking their videos to a new directions as today’s visuals for the title track off Now or Neva only echoes their progress. Working with director Corey Davis, the video opens with an Obsessive Spenders Anonymous group meeting, before cutting to clips of Count & Moonie making their way around the city, shopping for expensive cars, clothes, and jewelry.

Karmaloop + New Brahmin Present: BEAUTY SCHOOL!

Karmaloop is back in the beauty game with our friends over at New Brahmin and we are thrilled to show you this tutorial series! Watch our inaugural clip with makeup artist Rose Fortuna showing you how to prep a smooch-able lip for upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Rosie is one fiery chick on a life mission to make pretty, but she can’t fix ugly — that’s an inside job. Wishing you all a super sweet V-day (but not so sweet that your teeth fall out from overeating candy), she hopes that these two sultry lip options suit your pucker on this most romantic night.

For her natural, pouty nude technique, you need:

  • neutral lip liner, about 2 shades deeper than your natural lip tone
  • nude gloss

Simply line your lip then fill it in with the same liner — this will act as a primer for the next step… which is shellacking on a layer of nude gloss! Only marginally more time consuming than swiping on chapstick but adds a whole lot of oomph.

For a punchy jolt of color, the bold red lip involves:

  • an angle brush to line and fill
  • a bright lipcolor (your choice)
  • a semi-sheer lipgloss
  • flat brush and concealer
  • optional: a shade lighter or brighter than the lipcolor you’re using (we played around with silver)

Use the angle brush to line and fill your lip with color; we like this process because it is precise. Start from the corner of your lip, as starting in the middle can give you an exaggerated clown-lip effect (scary).

Build color to your liking and add semi-sheer gloss to finish. To ensure your work stays put, buff around the negative lip line with concealer and a flat brush. Not sure what that means? Just study Rose in the clip!

Finally, if you want to amp up the look further tap the 2nd shade at the center of your lip for dimension.

Voila! Your lips will be so scrumptious that a makeout seash is guaranteed, at which point you will probably ruin your makeup. But hey! We aren’t miracle workers over here! At least we got you there, or so we’d like to think. ♥

Welcome Ladakh, the Latest Brand From Down Under

Australia has been sending the states plenty of outstanding stuff in recent years: sexy accents, calling BBQs the Bahbie, Vegemite (OK I actually have never tasted it), Summer Heights High… and perpetually fresh fashion. Ladakh is the latest to hop across the Pacific, treading into US territory and they join the ranks of some Karmaloop favorites like Mink Pink and style stalker. Founded in the early 90′s, Ladakh has been doing business in major Australian hubs like Sydney and Brisbane for as long as some of you have been alive, so we know this brand can ride the proverbial wave of style trends. Watch out for its Spring pieces as they trickle onto the site! Already we’ve got a couple unique sweaters including the Native Navaho Poncho, the Nine Til Noon Top, and the Rustech Sweater.

Ready to be impressed? As if her quickly growing career didn’t already win your affection, Dev had a baby last month and is already back at doing her rockstar thing. Brittany over at What The Hellz?! posted a behind the scenes look at the set of “Dancing Shoes”, her latest single off the upcoming (delayed release) The Night The Sun Came Up album. We adore the BFFL relationship between Dev and the Hellz gals, they’ve really cross promoted each other all the way to the top. Watch the making of clip above and the full video below!

Cheap Monday’s S/S 2012 Runway Video

Click here to view the embedded video.

Cheap Monday is starting to trickle in, and per usual, the Swedish brand is offering up some outstandingly comfortable gear for this spring. What we like most about the Spring-Summer 2012 collection is the trendy details (isn’t it always in the details?): bold colorblocked stripes, unusual necklines, and quirky silhouettes. Consistently presenting a high-fashion runway show each season, the brand’s new pieces were presented with nostalgic and romantic sensibilities hinting at the naivety of our parents’ youth. Watch the video above to scope out the whole collection.
